Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2011 at South Park Cemetery for Emmett Shirley Burns, 74, who passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 in Littlefield, Texas. Military Service will be conducted by local Veterans Honor Guard. Garth Hyde of Vista Care will officiate.

Emmett was born June 1, 1937 in Littlefield, Texas to Jack and May Brown Burns. His parents preceded him in death.

He was a supervisor in the oil industry.
