Elva J. Simmons

Elva J. Simmons passed away Monday, August 29, 2011. She was born April 26, 1935 to Unie and Curtis Jones in Rusk, Texas. She married Richard V. Simmons on December 12, 1957 in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2003. She also was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Terry Simmons and one great granddaughter.

She is survived by her three daughters Linda Jim Napier of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Sandra Phil Phillips of Roswell, New Mexico and Lisa Lunsford of Austin, Texas. Also surviving her are six grandsons, four granddaughter s and ten great grandchildren.

By her request she is to be cremated and a celebration of her life and her husbands life at a later date.
