Elva Samaniego

A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2007 in Duran, NM for Elva Samaniego, 51, of Roswell, NM who passed away October 8, 2007 at her residence. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 12, 2007 in Duran, NM. Following services she will be buried at the Duran Cemetery.

Elva was born August 20, 1956 in Portales, NM to Gomisindo L. Samaniego and Lucy Madrill Samaniego. Her father has preceded her in death.

Elva is survived by her mother: Lucy Samaniego of Duran, NM; a son Chris Samaniego and wife Chritina of Roswell and their children Sofia and Daija Samaniego of Roswell, and Cruz Samaniego of Albuquerque, NM; a daughter: Misty Dawn Rodriguez and husband Anthony of Roswell and their children Christopher and Leticia Sha Sha Rodriguez of Roswell; her brothers: Joe Samaniego of Dallas, TX, J.R. Samaniego and wife Lil of Timberron, NM, George Samaniego of Dallas, TX and Michael Samaniego and wife Annette of Dallas, TX; her sisters: Martha Garcia and husband Manuel of Duran, NM, Diana Choate and husband Paul of Carrollton, TX and Gina Ladymon of Dallas, TX; a great uncle Catalino Madrill of Mountainair, NM; two best friends: Priscilla Ramirez of Lubbock, TX and Diane Mirabal of Tularosa, NM; as well as 16 nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews.

Elva worked as a secretary for the hospital. She was of the catholic faith.
