Eloy Mireles Jr.
With broken hearts our beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, Eloy Mireles Jr., 71, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 surrounded by the love of his family. He was born November 18, 1952 in Roswell, NM to Eloy Chaves Mireles Sr. and Eliser Lucero.
Eloy was very strong in the Catholic faith. He retired from the City of Roswell Sanitation Department. Eloy coached Roswell Youth Basketball and Football Leagues which he also played for the men’s leagues in Roswell. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys, LA Lakers, and NY Yankees fan. Eloy loved his devoted Chihuahua “Pups” and Chiweenie, “Max”.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife Jeannie Mireles of Roswell, NM; sons E.J. Mireles and Nehemiah Mireles of Roswell, NM; daughter Samantha Mireles (Richerd) of Lordsburg, NM; brothers Gil Mireles (Renee) of San Antonio, TX and Abel Mireles (Margaret) of Roswell, NM; sisters Dilly Brady (Lawrence) of Dexter, NM and Ruby Parks of Roswell, NM; sister-in-law Gracie Mireles of Dexter, NM; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Eloy is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, son Chris Mireles Sr.; grandson Angel Mireles; brothers Eddy and Tommy Mireles; sister Juanita Natividad and numerous other family members.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday, March 18, 2024 at Ballard Funeral Home with a rosary to follow at 2:00 pm. A reception will be held for family and friends following the rosary.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at South Park Cemetery.
