A prayer service for Elijah Wudz Ray Romero, 24, of Roswell, New Mexico will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2010 p.m. at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel with Savino Sanchez of Church on the Move officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Elijah was born August 7, 1986 in Roswell, NM to Edward Steven Romero Jr. and Sylvia Annette Gabaldon. As a youth he loved to play baseball, football, basketball and maintain euro cars. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Elijah is survived by greatgrandmother Josephine Nelson Montoya and grandparents Eddie Romero Sr. and Virginia Romero, father Edward Romero Jr. and fianc Melissa Bates, mother Sylvia Gabaldon and fianc Salvador Briseno. The love of his life Antionette Christina Analla and their children, Elijah Edward Jr. Audrina Annette and Ryan William Romero, brothers Jeremiah Cole Romero, Josiah Cobos and Izaiah Robert Dillard, sisters Erica Gonzales, Alissa Loya, Mariah and Giada Romero, Daijah Dillard and Savannah Briseno, niece Sabryna Gonzales, tios Gregory Romero, Eric Romero, Frank Gabaldon, Gilbert Gabaldon, William Roland, Steve De Los Santos, Johnny De Los Santos, Richard De Los Santos, Rudy De Los Santos, Robert De Los Santos, Leroy De Los Santos, Ruben De Los Santos, Ezekiel De Los Santos, tias Vanessa Romero, Linda Bennett, Yolanda Silva, Mary Gabaldon, Nancy Gabaldon, Terri Gabaldon, Rita Gabaldon, Virgie De Los Santos, and Valerie De Los Santos, also surviving him are numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Elijah is proceded in death by his greatgrandfathers Pete Trujillo Montoya, Trinito Romero, Sr., greatgrandmother Juanita Romero, grandpa Eulalio De Los Santos, grandmother, Cruza Gabaldon, tios Sammy Gabaldon Sr., Robert Gabaldon, Trinito Romero Jr., tias Monica Romero Meek, Gloria Gabaldon, cousins Denis Morales and Israel De Los Santos.
Pallbearers will be Jason N. Montoya, Jeremy F. Montoya, Eric J. Romero, Eric Silva, Gilbert Gabaldon and Ernie Gabaldon. Honorary pallbearers will be Jermiah Cole Romero, Joseph F. Montoya, Greg Gabaldon, Fabian Gabaldon, Miguel Gabaldon, Cyleste Gabaldon, Sammy Gabaldon Jr., Johathon Romero, Eric Romero Jr. and Cameron Romero.
Family will be accepting condolences at 3104 S. Union following the services.
