Edward Whitt

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at South Park Cemetery for Edward J. Whitt, 67, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2013 in Roswell, NM. Rick Hale of Grace Community Church will be officiating services.

Edward was born July 9, 1945 in Bakersfield, CA to Jack Whitt and Evelyn Compton. He married Joyce Griffith who preceded him in death in December. Edward is also preceded in death by his two brothers Lloyd and Floyd Whitt and one sister, Nadine Caldwell.

He is survived by his sons Bobby Whitt and his wife Sheri from Roswell, NM and James Whitt and his wife Polly of Dexter, NM, sisters Ginger Carter and her husband Wayne of Clarksville, AK, Shirley Pearce and her husband Louis and Mary Hadder of Roswell, NM. His grandchildren Annabelle, Wyatt, Emmaline, Amelia Whitt and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edward was a member of Midway Assembly and worked as a farmer for many years. He loved to play guitar and play with his grandchildren. Edward resided in Dexter, NM for 32 years.
