A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Fay Sanchez, 71, of Roswell who passed away May 16, 2010 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Faye was born on November 13, 1938 in Hazzard, Kentucky to Loretta Quillian Hall and Cobe Hall. Her mother has preceded her in death as well as two daughters Betty Sue Brigman and Brenda Jo Burton, one son: Billy Ray Combs and two brothers: James Hall and Arlie Hall.
Faye married Mike F. Sanchez in 1973 in Dayton, Ohio. Her husband preceded her in death on September 18, 2008.
Faye is survived by her sons: Russell McDaniel of Roswell, Leonard McDaniel Jr. and wife Cindy of Dayton, Ohio and Ronald Eugene McDaniel of California her daughter: Paula Velasco and husband Israel of Roswell her brother: Bobby Hall of San Antonio, Tx a sister Bertie Lewis of Florida her grandchildren: Toni Velasco, Sierra Velasco, Margaret Faye, Heather Sue McGinnis, Robert Michael Brigman, Arron Brigman, Milissa Brigman, Charles Morgan Jr., Jamie McDaniel, Dorothy McDaniel, Angel Combs, Glenda Combs, Edna Combs, Billy Ray Combs Jr., Justin Combs, Julie Marie McDaniel, Billie Jean McDaniel and Nicole Alice Faye McDaniel her great grandchildren: Bella Velasco and Genisis Rodriquez and a close friend Phyllis Smith.
Faye has lived in Roswell since 1973 and was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church. Growing up she enjoyed playing board games, loved to knit, dance and enjoyed watching funny movies.
Pallbearers will be Steven Espinosa, Ramon Velasco, Russell McDaniel, Israel Velasco, Miguel Rodriguez and Toni Velasco.
