Editha P. Lovings
Editha P. Lovings was born on May 27, 1947 in Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines. Editha’s world ended on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
Growing up in the Philippines she was the one person in the family that everyone went to for information or for help. She was Mommy Editha to everyone she touched.
While working at Clark Air Force Base she chosen the love of her life, her husband Michael and their first daughter; and so started Editha’s world. Her world had a second blessing when she had her second daughter. She loved being a housewife and mom the most. Dedicated her life making sure her family had everything and more. While living in Roswell she was active at St. John’s Catholic Church and the Lady of Guadalupe. She enjoyed making delicious food, dancing to music, sewing, telling stories of growing up and being in the Philippines and her favorite activity is growing roses in her garden.
Editha leaves behind her beloved family, her loving husband of 47 years Michael A. Lovings; daughters Jerma P. Lovings and Jamilita P. Lovings; cousin Esther Morrison and husband; niece Luz Longeria and husband; granddaughter Liwayway Ka’i Santos; second family Jorge and Carmen Rodriguez and kids. Also surviving are many other family members, grandchildren and friends in the states and Philippines.
She is preceded in death by her parents ILdelfonso Padilla and Cristita Josol; brothers and sisters and her best friend Catalina B. Shull.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Ballard Funeral Home with funeral service being held at 10:00 am, Friday, March 20, 2020 also at Ballard Funeral Home with Deacon Ernesto Martinez of St. John’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Ballard Funeral Home.
