Earsley Barnett Jr.

Earsley "Butch" Barnett, Jr. was born to Earsley Barnett Sr. and Willie Mae Brown. After a long battle with health issues he was set free on Monday, November 30, 2015 at his family home.

Born and raised in Roswell, NM, Earsley, attended Roswell schools, he was a great athlete, loved sports, especially baseball, basketball and racquetball; he also loved to play backgammon and chess. Earsley had a big heart, loved many people and above all his family. He enjoyed watching, caring for and playing with his grandchildren whom will miss him dearly.

Earsley leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Bobby Lee Barnett and wife, Corina; grandchildren, Carmen Olivia Barnett and Jerimiah Benjamin Lee Barnett, also the mother of his children, Josephine Morones of the family home; brothers, Gary Brown and Billy Brown; sisters Faye Barnett, Vicky Brinkly and Leisha S. Brown; also several nephew and nieces.

Earsley is preceded in death by his parents, Earsley Barnett Sr. and Willie Mae Brown; his son, Earsley "Chico" Barnett III; brothers, Bobby Lee Brown, Shelby Brown, Benjamin Brown; and his sister, Shirley Ann Brown.

As per Mr. Barnett's wishes, there will not be any services.
