Dorothy Z. Wade

A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the Ballard Chapel for Dorothy Z. Wade, 93, of Roswell who passed away Monday, January 28, 2008 at Roswell Regional Hospital. Pastor Rick Hale of Grace Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Dorothy was born on October 10, 1914 to John Ellis Green and Martha Elizabeth Magil Green. Her parents have preceded her in death as well as two brothers; Charles E. Green and Kenneth Green; and one sister Bessie Loraine Jefferys.

Dorothy married David E. Wade. He has preceded her in death.

Dorothy is survived by her son; Hubert E. Wade and companion Betty Bevers of Roswell; her daughter: Dorothy Peaches Crawford and husband Grant of Los Lunas, NM; a daughter in law: Barbara Jeanne Browne of Roswell; a brother: Acea Green; of Roswell; grandchildren: Grant Crawford II, Mathew D. Wade and wife Barbara, Toni Lynch and husband Clint and Dorothy Ann Marie Cleveland and husband Todd and an adopted grandson Tom Adams; and great grandchildren: Heather N. Lynch, Lacey D. Lynch, Fayth R. Lynch, Heidi R. Wade, David M. Wade, Mathew E. Wade and Petra L. Barnett.

Dorothy was a life long resident of Roswell and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Rebeccas- Past Noble Grand and the Eagles Auxiliary. Dorothy loved to fly in hot air balloons, ride on motorcycles, fishing, water skiing and boating. She was also an avid animal lover and liked to ride horses. She was active in the Joy center where she enjoyed dancing.

Pallbearers will be Tom Adams, Grant Crawford II, Mathew Wade, Todd Cleveland, Clint Lynch and Eric Wade.
