A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church for Dorothy Aguilar, 88 of Roswell who passed away February 12, 2009 at a local care facility. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Dorothy was born on April 5, 1920 to Cruz Aguilar and Martina Benividez Aguilar in Capitan, NM. Her parents have preceded her in death.

Dorothy married Leon Gonzales. Her husband has preceded her in death as well as her brothers: Linial, Ernest and Eddie Sr.

Dorothy is survived by her sons: Larry Stone of Roswell, Eddie Gonzales, of Roswell, Raymond Stone of Roswell, Juan Gonzales of Albuquerque, Leon Gonzales of California; her daughter: Helen Sanchez of Roswell; her brothers: Jimmy Aguilar of Roswell, Nick Aguilar of Roswell, Joe Aguilar of Roswell and Max Aguilar of California; her sister: Crucita Pena of Roswell; as well as her 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and her 3 great, great grandchildren.

Dorothy is a lifelong resident of Roswell. She was of the catholic faith and was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church. She also worked as a house keeper.
