Dorotha loved sports, quilting, and cooking for her family. She worked many years in the cafeteria at East Grand Plains but finished her working years as a seamstress at Levi Strauss. She loved attending sporting events, and it didn't matter which sport it was. She was everybody's biggest fan, but also our biggest critic. She was a permanent fixture in the bleachers for all of her kids, grandkids, and even great grandkids sporting events. Come rain, snow, or shine, she was always there, sporting her team colors. Mama Dot was diligent to finish many quilts that she gifted to her family and friends. She was always very proud of her completed projects. She could turn rags into a beautiful masterpiece. She spent most of her time in the kitchen. She was always preparing homemade meals for her family and loved to cook for others. Her motto was always this, "If you don't eat, you'll get sick!" Her homemade desserts, jelly, candy, and buns were among some of her families' favorites. But anything she made was always made to perfection and with the utmost love. She enjoyed toe-tappin' country music, especially the music made by her husband and boys. She was so proud to hear them play together.
She was the best person with the biggest, selfless heart. Anyone who knew her was truly blessed.
