Donald D. Miller, Jr.
A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Donald D. Miller, Jr., of Roswell, who passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 25, 2010 at St. Peters Catholic Church. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Donald was born May 5, 1954 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Donald and Lila Miller. He is preceded in death by his mother. His father, Donald D. Miller, Sr., survives him at home.
Donald graduated in 1972 from Robertson High School in Las Vegas, NM. He attended Eastern New Mexico UniversityPortales in 1985 where he earned his Bachelors degree in Business Administration. He retired as a hospital administrator serving at the Eastern New Mexico Rehabilitation Center in Roswell, NM and later at Ft. Bayard Rehabilitation Center in Ft. Bayard, NM.
He is survived by his son Joseph Miller and his wife Lydia Miller and grandson Julian Miller his brother Les Miller and his wife Carla his sisters: Dorothy and her husband Vance, Pat Pierce and fianc Richard Hoover one nephew and nine nieces and his special friend Yolanda Acosta and family.
Donalds passion was his family and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group and the Patriot Guard.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made in Mr. Millers name to the American Diabetes Association, 8008 Slide Road, Suite 12A, Lubbock, TX 79424 or the charity of ones choice.
