Donal A. Bunce, age 98, veteran, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on February 29, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Frieda M. Bunce, daughter Barbara J. (Bunce) LaRue, and great granddaughter Chloé LaRue. He is survived by his second wife Rosalie Bunce, grandson William "Jeff" LaRue, Jeff's wife Leslie (Dunlap) LaRue, and their three daughters: Lauren, Ainsley, and Kylie.
He is also survived by Rosalie’s family. Her son Harvey Stanbrough and wife Mona Stanbrough. Their 5 children, Audrey Anthony, Jason Stanbrough, Heather Seilheimer, Jim Stanbrough, Roy Stanbrough and their spouses, along with numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Don was a member of the United States Army from August 1943 until June 1946 where he served as a Military policeman and received an American Theater Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.
He spent his final days in his home with his wife, his family, and his best friend. His final times were filled with love and laughter, jokes, humming songs and he left this world in peace.
Don lived a full life, worked hard and with purpose at everything that he did. His stories and his humor will be dearly missed by all.
