A rosary is scheduled for 8 pm, Friday, April 6, 2012 at Ballard Chapel for Dolores Sanchez of Hagerman, NM who passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. A mass is scheduled for 10 am, Saturday, April 7, 2012 also at Ballard Chapel. Father Brian Guerrini of St. Catherines Catholic Church will be officiating with burial to follow at Hagerman Cemetery.

Dolores was born to Abran and Catarina Segura Rodriguez on September 25, 1922 in Texas. She will be reunited with her loving husband Isabel Sanchez, her parents, sister Aurora Gutierrez and brother Jose Payan.

She leaves behind her two daughters Mary Barela and her husband Tom and Lorina Sanchez one son Isabel Sanchez all of Hagerman one sister Manuela Garcia and husband Alberto of Richardson, Texas one brother Manuel Segura and wife Apolonia of Dexter, NM five grandchildren Tommy Barela and wife Rosa, Michael Sanchez of Hagerman, NM, Jesse Sanchez of Los Angles, California, Victoria Franco and husband Andy and Angelica Walterscheid and husband Jarred of Carlsbad, NM twelve great grandchildren Andrew, Gabrielle, Bryan and Bethaney Barela, Cameron and Mariyah Sanchez of Hagerman, NM, Alyana Sanchez of Roswell, Alex Sanchez, Kaytlynn and Natalia Franco, Gabriella and Giulana Walterscheid of Carlsbad, NM and her special niece Loretta Sanchez of Hagerman, NM. She will be greatly missed by all listed and many more nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Dolores was a member of St. Catherine Church in Hagerman. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America since 1991 when the court was started. She cooked for many years to raise money for the court needs.

Pallbearers will be Isabel Sanchez, Jesse Sanchez, Michael Sanchez, Tommy Barela, Andrew Barela and Bryan Barela. Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Sanchez, Alex Sanchez, Israel Rodriguez, Miguel Olivas, Hector Olivas, Damien Hamilton, Armando Gutierrez and Domingo Garcia.
