Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am, Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Dollie Ray Dooley, 91, who passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at Mission Arch Care Center. Pastor Harry Tacket of the Church of Christ will be officiating with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 pm, Monday, May 2, 2016 at Ballard Funeral Home.
Dollie was born December 22, 1924 in Littlefield, TX to Walter Coleman Walker and Elizabeth Turner Walker who both preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her x-husband Bennie E. Dooley; her sisters Francis Cooper, Bessie Simpson, Bernice Buchman, Bonnie Daly and Doris Hartley and her brothers Claude G. Walker and Jimmy Walker.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children Bernice Chacon and her partner Yvonne Serrano and Bennie E. Dooley, Jr. and wife Lorna; grandchildren Jessica Dooley, Chase Dooley and Walker Dooley; one great grandson Carson Dooley and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dollie was a member of Church of Christ. She owned a gas station in Roswell and was owner of Dooley's House of Music Store in Silver City. Dollie worked at Levi Straus and was also a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and wife; she will be missed greatly.
