Dick Chingon Mandonado

A memorial mass is scheduled for 10 am, Friday, January 20, 2012 at St. Peter Catholic Church for Dick Chingon Mandonado, 54, who passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at his home. Father Charlie Martinez of St. Peter Catholic Church will be officiating with burial of cremains to follow at South Park Cemetery. Dick was cremated according to his wishes.

Dick was born December 13, 1957 in Albuquerque, NM to Margarito and Epifania Sanchez Mandonado. His father preceded him in death. His brother Daniel Mandonado followed him in death on Monday, January 16, 2012. Also preceding him in death were his brother Margarito Mandonado his uncles Chris, Paul, Joe and Rudy Sanchez and grandparents Luis and Mary Sanchez.

He is survived by his mother Epifania Torres and stepfather Juan Torres of Midway son Matthew Mandonado of Roswell sisters Elaine Gamboa of Midway, Ernestine Olivares of Clovis, NM, Rosa Pereira of Roswell, Mary Ann Mandonado of Little Rock, Arkansas, Dora Gonzalez of Dexter and Eleanor Torres of Midway special uncles and aunts Manuel and Emma Sanchez, Linda and Jimmy Horton, Gloria and Raymond Horton and Barbara and Tom Rico love of his life his former wife Norma Gonzales grandson Damian Mandonado of Roswell special cousins Mark and Michael Sanchez who gave special care to Dick during his final days and Paul and Angelina Sanchez. Also surviving him are thirtyfive nieces and nephews and twentythree godchildren.

Dick was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. He liked to work on something all of the time no matter what it was. Dick assisted Dr. Reynolds Tony in his veterinary practice and offered to help others with whatever they needed. He enjoyed his music and watching John Wayne movies.
