Dennis Gutierrez

Dennis passed peacefully in his home on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Dennis Manuel Gutierrez was born on December 8, 1959; the only son born to Minda and Doroteo Gutierrez of Roswell, NM. Dennis was a lifelong resident of Roswell and a graduate of the 1977 class of Roswell High School. Any who knew Dennis, will forever remember him as an extremely hard-working man. He was a long time concrete finisher with the family company, Gutierrez Construction. After learning the family business he worked as a machine operator at TMC/Nova Bus. When TMC shut down he returned to his passion of construction, concrete, and handyman work.

Dennis was a loving grandfather, father, son, nephew, Nino, Hulk-a-man, "Poopoo", "dammit Dennis!" and friend to so many. He will always be remembered as having a huge heart; willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He loved to laugh,joke with others, and play around. He loved long drives down country roads. Most of all, he loved going to the mountains to spend time with his family and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents Manuel & Dora Gutierrez and Daniel & Caroline Vigil; his uncles Manuel Gutierrez, Isidore Gutierrez, and Clifford Gonzalez Jr; his loving parents Doroteo & Minda Gutierrez; his nephew Samuel Hines Gutierrez, and his cousins Isidore Gutierrez Jr and Andy Gutierrez.

He is survived by his children Greg, Jeff & wife Audrey Gutierrez, and Sarah & husband Rudy Garcia; sister Debbie Gutierrez Hall; nieces Danielle, Heather, Mandy, and Andrea Hall; grandkids Brandon Gutierrez, Rudy JR, Melissa, Natalie and Orion Garcia; great-nieces/great-nephews Aliyah, Tomisha, Arianna, Tyran, Adrian, Mireyna, Cynthia, Giana, Miguel, Natalie, Nethanyel, Jaylynn, Kane and Jason; numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

There will be an optional viewing held from 11 am to 12:30 pm, Friday, May 24, 2019 at Ballard Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, May 24, 2019 at St. John's Catholic Church with mass to follow at 2 pm. Cremation will follow per his wishes.

Pallbearers are Adam Gutierrez, Ray Gutierrez, Clifford Gonzalez III, Mark Montgomery, Francisco Barraza, and Phillip Navarette.
