David Patrick Lentz, age 82, died on Sunday, August 15, 2010, at Peachtree Village in Roswell, New Mexico. He was born April 22, 1928 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Stephen P. and Martha P. Lentz nee Dostal. The family moved to Madison, Wisconsin in 1942. David graduated from Edgewood High School in 1946 and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1948. He attained the rank of Major before his retirement in 1970. He settled in Roswell after his retirement with his son Stephen and his wife Beverly.
He enjoyed building model airplanes and model railroads. He was an Eagle Scout and a camp counselor at BSA Camp Ticonderoga prior to his enlistment in the Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, William C. Earl, his first wife, Beverly Ann, and his second wife Mary Catherine.
He is survived by his son Stephen G. Lentz Cathy of Auburn, California, a grandson Samuel Lentz of Albuquerque, New Mexico and his brother Stephen P. Lentz Ilse of Evansville, Wisconsin.
