David was born on September 15, 1945 in Roswell, NM to Pedro Garcia and Josephina Sanchez Garcia. His parents have preceded him in death.

David is survived by his sons Sammy Garcia and Miguel Garcia and his spouse; his daughter Anna Salazar and her spouse; his brothers: Rocky Garcia of Carlsbad, Henry Garcia and spouse of Alamogordo, Richard Garcia and his spouse of Roswell and Orlando Garcia and his spouse of California; his sisters: Fransis Fierro and her spouse and Dela Lopez and her spouse; as well as nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

David was a life long resident of Roswell and worked as a landscaper. He was also a member of the senior circle.
