Darrell Dee Morrow

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on December 30, 2008 at Grace Community Church for Darrell Dee Morrow, 50, of Roswell who went to his heavenly home on December 26, 2008, following a valiant battle with cancer. Interment will follow the service at South Park Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Brenda and son; Joshua of Roswell; his son David, wife Sara and granddaughter Emma of Austin, TX; daughter Cristy, her husband Don and grandchildren Zane, Aubrey, and Wesley of Clayton, NM; Dees parents, Gloria and Wilburn Morrow of Roswell; grandmother Muriel Coggin; brother Artie and wife Julie of Roswell; in-laws Shirley and Jim Gill of Roswell, Nieces, Emily and Jamie Gill of Las Cruces; Danny and Debbie Brabham of Lorena, TX, niece Heather Farnum and nephew Brian Brabham of TX, multiple, wonderful friends and other extended family.

Dee was born on July 8, 1958 in Roswell, NM. He attended school and college classes in Roswell. He was employed by the Chaves Co. Road Dept. for the past 13 years as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed his work and took great pride in doing a good job. He also worked with a great bunch of people. Dee was a volunteer coach for the First Tee golf program at the NMMI golf course. Dee loved spending time with good friends, watching movies, traveling and taking cruises. He also loved to camp in the great outdoors. He liked helping his sons soccer team and First Tee group and was always ready to help people move or assist in whatever when called upon. He read nearly every Louie LAmour book and was known as Clark Griswold for his decorations at Christmas time. Christmas was not complete without watching Christmas Vacation on Thanksgiving night. He had a heart of gold and a sense of humor that could make anyone smile and feel better. His spirit will live on through his precious son, friends and family.

His family would like to thank everyone who supported us through calls, cards, and donations.

Pallbearers will be Jim Hickman, Ricky Brewton, Kim Talbott, Artie Morrow, David Morrow, and Angelo Gurule. Honorary pallbearers will be David Blair, Chris Gonzales, Ray Hills, Jim Gill, and Danny Brabham.
