Crescencio Carrillo Lujan
A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 26, 2008 at St. Johns Catholic Church for Crescencio Carrillo Lujan, 61 of Roswell who passed away Friday, May 23, 2008 at his home. A funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Deacon Jesus Herrera of St. Johns Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Crescencio was born on October 7, 1946 to George V. Lujan and Benigna Carrillio Lujan. His parents have preceded him in death as well as one son Crescencio Chris Lujan; one brother: George Lujan; four sisters: Elvira Molina, Rosie Meeks, Ira Correa and Angelita Espinosa and his grand parents: Cresencio and Nicollasa Carrillo and Federico and Simona Lujan .
Crescencio married Mary Sanchez on October 20, 1967 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. His wife survives him at the family home.
Crescencio is also survived by his sons: Nick Joe Lujan and friend Tami and Rauly Lujan; his brothers: Ernest Lujan, Fred Lujan, Nacho Lujan all of Roswell; his sisters: Hope Gann and her husband Bob of KoKomo, Indiana, Emma Rietsch and husband Bob of Garden Grove, California and Bennie L. Gonzalez of Levelland, Texas; his grandchildren: Dominic Lujan, Fernando Lujan, Christina Lujan and Marissa Lujan as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Crescencio worked for Chaves County Road Department. He was a very loving and caring man. Crescencio was also raising his grandchildren, and always made sure to take them on vacation. Before he passed away he was planning another vacation for this summer. Crescencio enjoyed playing softball in his younger days. He played with Buena Suerta and went to win the American Division of the Roswell City Mens Slow Pitch Softball League. He also played with Lone Stars where they got a sparking record of 9-2. Later he assisted and organized putting together the Chihiatita Raiders and won several tournaments.

Pallbearers will be Efrem Lujan, Chon Rubio, Ernie Giron, Ray Ray Salcido, Ray Baca, and Frank Sanchez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Cobos, Louis Valdez, Ben Rivera, Nachoito Lujan Jr., Ely Servantez, Pete Lujan, James Lujan, George Lujan Jr. and John Paul Lujan.
