A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2007 at Ballard Funeral Home for Corrine Valencia Gonzalez, 57, of Albuquerque, NM who passed away January 31, 2007. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 5, 2007 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Fr. Juan Montoya, O.F.M, of St. Johns Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Corrine was born June 15, 1949 in Roswell, New Mexico to Santiago Apodaca and Teresa Romero Valencia. Her parents preceded her in death.

Corrine Married Roberto Gonzalez, in April of 1968, in Roswell, New Mexico. He preceded her in death.

Corrine is survived by her daughters: Rosie Gonzalez and fianc Luis Federico of Albuquerque and Angelica Pasillas of Albuquerque; her grandchildren: Brittani Pasillas, Clarissa Federico, Santino Guerrero Jr., Santiago Pasillas, Analissa Federico all of Albuquerque; her brother: Santiago Valencia Jr. of Roswell; her sisters: Lorriane Valencia, of Roswell, Susan R. Valencia of Albuquerque and Teresa V. Licon of Albuquerque.

She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church, Comadres Comadres in Albuquerque a cancer survivor group. Her hobbies were crocheting and reading. She loved to bake for her family and mainly her grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joe Licon, Raymond Ortiz, Santiago Valencia III, Carlos Valencia, Michael Munoz and Santino Guerro. Honorary Pallbearers will be Santiago Valencia Jr., Luis Federico, Dwayne Atkison, Tommy Valdez, Margarito Chavez and Paul Chavez and Stacy Peyton.

The family request that memorials be made in Corrines name to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Montgomery Blvd NE Suite 300, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
