Connie Creswell

A funeral service is scheduled for 1 pm, Monday, March 23, 2015 at Grace Community Church for Connie Lynn Creswell, 60, who passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at ENMMC. Pastor Rick Hale of Grace Community Church will officiate with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery. Connie will lie in state on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 9 to 5 pm and Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 1 to 5 pm at Ballard Funeral Home.
Connie Lynn Creswell was born Feb. 27, 1955 to Charles Edward Hardison and Robbie Frizzell in Visalia, California. She married Art Creswell on June 23, 1990. They have 3 children, Kadie, Matthew, and Erin.
Connie grew up in Fresno. CA where she developed a special spirit from her experiences with her two grandmothers. With them grew a deep feeling of faith and family. This is also where she developed her art for baking and sewing. Connie enjoyed all activities that would include the family. She was a big fan of her Seahawks, especially when they played the Cowboys. But her real love was her dream of becoming a nurse. She realized her dream in 1981 when she obtained her R.N. degree from Clark College in Vancouver, WA. She later received her BSN from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM. After working in the Northwest, she moved to Roswell and worked at ENMMC and St. Marys Hospitals. It was at this time she met the love of her life, Art Creswell. Through the years, she continued to work at several nursing jobs around the Roswell area while raising her three children. She was a care coordinator for United Health Group up until the day she passed.

Survivors include her husband, Art Creswell of Roswell, a son, Matthew Creswell of Portales, two daughters, Kadie Creswell of Portales, Erin Creswell of Roswell, two granddaughters, Addison Creswell and Brylee Templeman of Portales. She is also survived by her father Charles Edward Hardison (Geneva) of Fresno,CA, her mother Robbie Fite of Roswell, NM, one brother, Mike Hardison,(Jill) of Clinton, Arkansas, step brother, Doyle Fite of Seattle Washington, step sister, Laurie Fite of Seattle, WA. Also aunts, Sharron Garrison (Tom) of Telino, WA, Joann Main of Visalia, CA, grandmother, Lorene Hardison of Visalia, CA. Also nieces and nephews, Misha Hardison of Portland, OR, Gerad Hardison of Las Vegas, NV, Jessica Hardison of Fresno, CA, and Jennifer Hardison of Denver, CO. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Beth Creswell of Artesia, NM.

Proceeding her in death were her brother Steve Hardison, step father Ed Fite, grandfathers, Joseph Hardison and Milton Frizzell, Grandmother Dorothy Frizzell, and father-in-law Harold Creswell.

Pallbearers for the service are Robby Smith, Joseph Smith, Sammy Pearce, Jerry Chaney, Tom Tydings, and Marty Torrez.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Kymera Cancer Center for their special gift of kindness. Also a special thanks to Dr. Khorsand, who always made us feel that he took Connie's affliction personally.
