A service is scheduled for 10:30, Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Ballard Chapel for Clyde R. Parker, Jr., of Roswell who passed away May 6, 2008 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Dr. Hugh Burroughs of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Clyde was born on April 16, 1936 in Damascus, VA to Clyde R. and Susie Adams Parker. His parents have preceded him in death.

Clyde married Olga Roman Parker on February 11, 1961 in Brooklyn, NY. She survives him at the family home.

Clyde is survived by his son Bruce Parker of Newport, VA; his brothers: Robert Parker and wife Josie of Saltville, VA, Ted Parker of Ralston, Neb., and Kenneth Parker and wife Louise of Meadowview, VA; his sister in laws Irene Wharton of Las Cruses, NM and Gay Parker of Glass VA.

Clyde has lived in Roswell for 10 years. He worked as a pipe fitter for a ship building company in Hampton, VA.
