Clovis Ancel Earick
Services are scheduled for 10 am on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Midway Baptist for Clovis A. Earick Sr. who went home to his Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 11, 2012. Pastor Leo Pennington will be officiating with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery. Roswell Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services.
Mr. Earick was born on April 30, 1925 in Terrell, Oklahoma and raised in Portales, NM. He was married to Edna Dunman in Huntsville, Alabama on August 9, 1946.
Mr. Earick was preceded in death by two sons Clovis A. Earick Jr. and Mark F. Earick his mother, father, stepfather, three sisters and one brother.
His survivors include his wife Edna of the home three daughters Sandra Montgomery and husband Johnny, Brenda Williams and Sue Montoya all of Midway three brothers Rex Earick and his wife Joyce of Roswell, Richard Sandefer and his wife Mary and Kenneth Sandefer and his wife Deanie all of Amarillo, Texas two sisters Nell Yockum of Amarillo and Faydean Davis and husband Clyde of Phoenix, Arizona and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Earick is also survived by seven grandchildren Wesley Montgomery and wife Shelley, Kim Henning and husband James, David Williams, Roy Williams, Nikki Montoya, Jolene Roybal and husband Phillip and Carrie Montoya Pegand husband Kent eleven greatgrandchildren Alyssa Adams, Daniel Henning, Nathan Henning, Tanisha Adams, Nicolas Henning, Isabella Henning, James Montgomery, Brianna Montano, Joshua Roybal, J:Lee Roybal and Joshua Tavarez and three special friends Ruby Thompson, Denise Sanford and Mary Pennington.
Mr. Earick was a carpenter and loved building things with his hands. He was a WWII Veteran where he was a para trooper in the 101st Airborne Division Screaming Eagles. Mr. Earick served as a hospice volunteer for ten years. He was a member and deacon of Midway Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Carrie Montoya Pegg, Kent Montgomery, Kimberly Montgomery Henning, Wesley Montgomery, Dylan Thompson and Phillip Roybal. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Bertin, Nikki Montoya, Joshua Tavarez, Denise Sanford, Joshua Roybal, David Williams, Roy Williams, Henry Grimm, Gene Grimm, Donny Rowland, Dobey Thompson and Ray Llamas.
