Clifford Alan Sandoval

Clifford Alan Sandoval entered eternal life on April 13, 2021 at the age of 57.  Cliff was diagnosed with metastatic brain cancer on December 25, 2020 and passed away peacefully at his home in Roswell with his family and 4-legged friend, Sadie, by his side. During his hard-brief battle with cancer, he would often say with much strength and courage “I am going to beat this or die trying."

Cliff was born on July 31, 1963 to Johnny and Celesta Sandoval in Roswell, NM where he attended Berrendo Elementary, Berrendo Middle School, and Goddard High School. Baseball was an important part of Cliff's early life and he was proud to be a part of a Noon Optimist All-Star Little League Team.  He also enjoyed boating, water skiing, hunting, horseback riding, shooting, riding his motorcycle, dancing, karaoke, the Denver Broncos, Toby Keith, and loved a good movie. Cliff enjoyed going to the casino to shoot craps, play blackjack, and poker.  He loved to "double down."

Cliff was a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 428.  He was a driller, welder, and heavy equipment operator.  Life took him all over the country while traveling for work making connections, lots of friends, and also touching many lives.  Over his life, he held a number of jobs. He worked for TMC (Nova Bus) and also worked for his father at the family business, Roswell Wrecking Company.  He worked at the Department of Energy's Nevada National Security Site (NSTEC) drilling groundwater wells for testing to understand the nature and extent of contamination caused by Historical Nuclear Testing. (United Drilling Inc).  He was a part of the runway and Resort Construction for the Front Sight Firearms Training Institute at the CA/NV border. (Direct Paving and Grading).  Cliff worked in Phoenix on the South Mountain Freeway Loop 202, the largest ADOT project in Arizona state history. (Connect 202 partners) He also worked on 75 miles at the Boarder wall Construction in Southern Arizona near Douglas. (SW Valley Constructors/Kiewett Corp) Cliff is currently employed by United Materials, LLP.

He was proceeded in death by his father Johnny, mother Celesta, brothers Steve Tubbs, Stanley Tubbs, Stewart Tubbs, and Gary Sandoval.  Survivors include his wife, Sabrina Sandoval, twin brother Clay (Ann) Sandoval; brother Stacey (Crystal) Tubbs all of Roswell, NM.  Sister Sharon (Doug) Northcott of Cloudcroft, NM; children Brandon Alan and Brittany Nicole Sandoval of Appleton, WI; stepdaughter Adrina (Jeremy) Hines of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Ellie and Mason Pina; Allianna and Madisyn Sandoval all of Appleton, WI. Maximus and Jaxson Hines of Las Vegas, NV, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Cliff will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his hard work, and always striving for excellence.  He was always the first one on the job site and the last one to leave. He truly dedicated himself to high level of productivity.  He also had a great sense of humor.

Cliff will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
