Claudette Jeanne Riseley Loring
No formal services are scheduled at this time for Claudette Jeanne Riseley Loring who passed from this life on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. She was a long time supporter of the Zia Council of Girl Scouts, and worked at K-Mart in the automotive department for a number of years. She was a student of Christian Science and worked in the Reading Room until last year. She was also active in the Roswell Symphony Guild.
Claudette was born March 16, 1924 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Her parents Lt. General James P. Riseley, USMC retired and Catharine Hohne Riseley predeceased her as well as one sister, Cynthia Riseley Baughman.
She moved to Roswell in 1967 with her four children who survive her; Scott Wilson Loring of Menlo Park, CA; Bruce Profit Loring wife Julie of Tempe, AZ; Grant McLean Loring wife Diana of Mesquite, TX; and Catharine Stevenson husband Jerry of Pueblo, CO; as well as grandchildren, Megan Loring, Eric Loring, Holly Stevenson and April Stevenson.
She is also survived by one brother, James Profit Riseley, Jr. of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and sisters, Mary Burton Riseley of Cliff, New Mexico and Margy Riseley Barbour of Roswell.
