Clarice Mae Madsen
Clarice Mae Madsen was born on December 2, 1930 to Bertam and Fern Hopper in Matheson, Colorado and passed from this life on December 21, 2010 surrounded by her family.
She was a communications expert, serving as a dispatcher for the New Mexico State Police for many years. After her retirement she was a coowner of an antiques and furniture refinishing store and later coowner of a trucking company here in Roswell.
Clarice was her happiest, living in the country were she could enjoy all her animals and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Dwight, Don, Paul, and Gene. Clarice is survived by her husband, Gayle Madsen and four children Katherine Bird and husband Walter, Sherri Cleaveland and husband Craig, Danny Hays and wife Cheryl and Rex King all of Roswell. Seven grandchildren Andrea Gapp and Tracy Biship of Tulsa, OK., Paula Mata of Tuscon, AZ., Kristin and Eric Stewart of Albuquerque, Cody and Courtney King of Roswell, six great grandchildren Marissa and Chelsea Gapp, Katelynn and Kyleigh Wuest, Aiden Mata, and Trent Biship.
Clarice will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place according to her wishes.
