Graveside services are scheduled for Ed Burch at South Park Cemetery on Friday May 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Scott Martin will preside. Loved ones may visit Ed on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Ballard Funeral Home. Ed was called home to be his Lord on May 20, 2008, with his family by his side.

Ed was born June 26, 1935 in Joplin, Missouri, to Marshel Roscoe Burch and Ruby Marie Myers Burch, who preceded him in death. Ed was married to June Durham on July 10, 1956. June preceded him in death as well as two stepchildren, John Cook and Sandra Smith. Stepdaughter Cindy Ienni survives him.

Ed is also survived by his sisters: Ella Mae Sampley of Anchorage, AK; Susie Marie Boss and husband Jim of Capitan; Glendean Virginia Lopez and husband Gilbert and Winona Ruth Martin and husband Scott of Artesia; and Barbara Fay Burch of Ruidoso; and by his brother: Norman Ray Burch and wife Jana of Roswell. The following siblings have preceded Ed in death: Brothers Thomas Marshel, William Charles and Billy Dwayne; and Sister Pauline Genevieve Randell. Ed is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ed was a kind and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
