Christopher John Otero
A funeral mass is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Assumption Catholic Church for Christopher John Otero, 40 of Roswell who passed away October 20, 2009. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Christopher was born on July 31, 1969 in Roswell to Bruno Richard Otero and Irene Linda Gill Otero. His parents survive him in Roswell.
Christopher is also survived by the love of his life Sabrina Louise Gonzales; his sons: Christopher Otero Jr. and his wife Debbie Merry Field, Raudel Juarez Gonzales his girlfriend Isabel Sanchez and Steven Otero; his daughters: Chantella Juarez Gonzales, Samantha Otero, Dominique Otero, Christina Otero and Maria Otero; his sister: Brandi Otero Rivas and her husband Jose; his grandchild: Anevay Otero; his grandmother: Beatrice Torrez; his nieces Angelica Lopez, Denisha Lopez, Love Rivas; his nephews: David Lopez and his girlfriend Noami Najar, Gary CJ Larez, Mikey Gonzales and Xanthanil Rivas; great nieces: Natalie Lopez and Palin Lopez; great nephews: David Lopez Jr. and Steve Larez; his father and mother in law: Steve and Betty Gonzales; his sister in law: Jeannette Gonzales and brother in law Joe Chavez; and his uncle: Pressy Gill and his wife Suzette.
He will be welcomed with open arms by his daughter, Maria Otero, his brother in law Champ Steve Gonzales and his best friend he loved so much Franky Gonzales which have preceded him in death.
Christopher was a life long resident of Roswell. He was the owner operator of Area 51 Drag way. Christopher loved his kids. He also loved building cars, installing hydros, drag racing and car shows. He was also a member of Car Club Majestics, Motorcycle Club, Los Dudes. Christopher was an accomplished musician, recording artist that played with top recording artist in the Tejano Industry.
Pallbearers will be David Lopez, Cesar Huitron, Sam Sigala, Gabe Garcia, Greg Vallejos, Frank Archuleta, Mike Lynchesky and Mikey Balencia. Honorary Pallbearers will be Christopher Otero Jr., Richard Janie Loavto, Matthew Wedo Meraz, Moises Orona, All the Otero Uncles, Uncle Art, Camillo Nunez, Rene Otero, Tony Hedalgo, Acosta Garcia, Auntie Donna Raes, Jose Raes, Aunt Terry Otero, Dave Chavez, LaLa Balencia, Michelle Lynchesky, Lety Coronado, Ali Castro, Deyton De La Cerda, Mark Cheese Burger Sanchez and all his friends.
