Chrissy lived a giving life and was respected by all. She was born September 29, 1921 in Elkhart, Indiana to Howard and Bessie Hogue Smith. She was an honor student and she was also actively involved in student and social activities. She was a member of RahRah, she was president of Girls Reserve and a member of other school originations. She attended and graduated from Columbian Universitys Barnard College in New York City. She then married Russell Graham who had recently graduated from Columbian University School of Theology of which he was class president. Russell served as an Associate Pastor in churches from Brooklyn and Auburn, New York and Claremont, Ca for some years. He and Chrissy subsequently formed and built their own church in the area it is still there and active. Chrissy and Russell then divorced in the late 60s she then taught 5th grade in the San Francisco area for many years. She was an over whelming success with the envy and love of all students and teachers. She then retired to Fullerton, CA.
She had many friends, churches, schools and originations and those met on her many travels. She frequently traveled with those she met on her world travels.
Chrissy had a great life, we loved her dearly and were proud of her. She was a credit to the world. She has lived the past eight years in complete happiness with her companion Don LeMasters. Don has been very caring and obviously in love. We all saw his great love and care and thank him for that. They loved their eight years of life together. She was blessed with two children David and Jane who live on separate American coasts. They presented her with a total of four grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Howard L. Smith, M.D. and wife Norma Glover Smith and his four children, Lance, Craig, Tony, Kim and their families.
