A rosary is scheduled for 11:30 am, Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Assumption Catholic Church for Chris C. Colacion 86, who passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2012 in Roswell. A mass will follow at 12:10 also at Assumption Catholic Church with Father Red Molina officiating. Chris will be cremated according to her wishes.

Chris was born March 21, 1926 in Hondo, NM to Juan Crisostomo Chavez and Maria Ageda Pena. Her parents preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her three brothers Domingo C. Chavez, Gregorio P. Chavez and Isidro P. Chaves and five sisters Epifania C. Gallegos, Beatrice C. Gallegos, Maria Inez C. Mendoza, Reyes P. Chavez and Ignacia C. Marquez.

Chris is survived by her loving husband of twentynine years Jesus R. Colacion of the family home her sons Ernest Cardona and wife Clara of Farmington, NM and Sammy Cardona and wife Penney of Roswell daughter Sally Beatty and husband Gary of Roswell sister Nickie C. Archuleta of Roswell grandchildren Carey L. Wood and husband Shawn, James C. Beatty and wife Dawna, Kristopher Cardona, Stephanie Gomez and husband Darrell, Regina Aragon and her husband Rudy and Ernest Cardona Jr. and wife Torrey greatgrandchildren Isaiah Cardona, Austin Cardona, Audra Lucero, Whitney Gomez, Alexander Valvarde, Noah Cockrel, Benicio Aragon, Jace, Ashtyn, Traeton Finlee, Brenner Wood and Riker Beatty and two goddaughters Ramona Fernandez and Margaret Trujillo.
