Charles Chuck Pankey
Services are scheduled for 10:00, Friday, September 21, 2007 at St. Peters Catholic Church for Charles Chuck Pankey, 68, of Roswell who passed away September 15, 2007 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.
Chuck was born on August 29, 1939 in Forest City, Arkansas to Barney B. Pankey and Evelyn M. McCreary Pankey. His parents have preceded him in death.
Chuck married Linda Jean Porter in Roswell, NM. She survives him at the family home.
Chuck is also survived by his daughters: Wendi Cornell and Husband Rob of Albuquerque, Shauna Hoffman and husband David of Roswell; his half son: Paul Butler and wife Shirley; his two half daughters:, Angela Helms and husband Shawn of Alabama and Jeana Gallager and husband Gayland of Roswell; his brother: Alex Pankey and wife Betty of Roswell; his mother in law: Pakali Porter of Roswell; and his nieces: Laurie Pankey of Silver City, NM and Carrie Weems of Roswell; as well as nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Chuck relocated to Roswell in 1940 and graduated high school in 1958 and enlisted in the US Navy. He returned after a four year period and discharged from the Navy. Chuck has been actively involved in Real Estate and Appraising since 1967. He worked four years in the El Paso and Las Cruces market and the remainder in Roswell, Ruidoso, Dexter, Hagerman and the Artesia Markets. In 1971 he graduated from the New Mexico State University with a BBA Degree in Marketing
