Cecilia Martinez Molina Oliva

A rosary is scheduled for 9:00 am, Thursday, August 18, 2011 with a funeral mass following at 10:00 am, at St. Peters Catholic Church for Cecilia Oliva 76, who passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Father Charlie Martinez, OFM will officiate. Cecilia will be buried at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at a later date. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Ballard Funeral Home.

Cecilia was born May 30, 1935 in Roswell, NM to Daniel and Bonificia Molina Martinez. Both parents preceded Cecilia in death. She is also preceded by her brother Jerry Martinez and sisterinlaw Mary Martinez, brother Pete Martinez, and Gilberto Martinez.

Cecilia is survived by her husband Leon Oliva of El Paso, TX brothers Frank Martinez and his wife Emilia of Roswell, Lloyd Martinez of Alamogordo, NM, Pablo Martinez and wife Dora of Dexter, Robert Martinez of Roswell, and Ernesto Martinez and wife Carolyn of Roswell sisters Evelyn Sanchez and husband Jose of Roswell, Margaret Acevedo of Roswell, Mary Borovina and husband Tam of Roswell, and Amanda Martinez of Roswell sisterinlaw Shirley Kolo and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cecilia spent the past 44 years in El Paso, Texas, where she was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She worked as a Presser for the Civil Service.
In lieu of flowers the family request that masses be requested for Cecilia.
