A graveside service for Caroline Kerr, 85, of Deming, NM will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 9, 2010 at South Park Cemetery. Caroline passed away on August 1, 2010 at her home in Deming, N.M.
Caroline was born August 25, 1924 to A.C. Stowell and Caroline Stowell in Elida, N.M. Her parents have preceded her in death. Her husband Gordon T. Kerr also precedes her in death along with two sisters Alverna Beverage and Annie Stowell and a brother Alfred Stowell.
Caroline is survived by her son Charles Reed, two daughters: Bessie Kirby and Christine Pefley all of Washington and a sister Ragina Short of Deming, N.M., three grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren and three great great grandchildren, also numerous nieces and nephews.
Caroline has lived most of her life in Seattle, Washington, she moved back to Deming, NM about three years ago to spend time with her sister. Carolines life revolved around her crafts and her garden. She was an amazing craft person in needlepoint, crochet, plus much more and she was also a seamstress. She was a master in gardening.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers for their special care of their loved one during this difficult time.
