A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 P.M., Monday, January 13, 2014 at St. Peters Catholic Church for Caroline Galvan, 71, who passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Mission Arch Care Center. A Communion service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at St. Peters Catholic Church Deacon Ernesto Martinez will be the celebrant with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery. There will be a luncheon following the services at the Father Juan Montoya Center at St. Johns.
Caroline was born February 2, 1942 in Verden, Oklahoma to Frank Galvan and Polly Sisneros Galvan. Her parents preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her sisters Edna Galvan Villa, Beatrice Rogers, Susie Olsen, Gloria Alvarez, Mary Ann Valdez and two brothers Alfred Galvan and Julian Galvan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters Pauline Morro of Hobbs, NM, Mary Louise Morales of Crane, TX, Patricia Sedillo of Roswell, NM, along with numerous nieces and nephews, and great, great, great and great, great, great nieces and nephews.
Caroline was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church, she enjoyed making flowers and crafts, she belonged to the Senior Circle and enjoyed music and she loved to dance. She liked to cook all kinds of food especially cookies and sweets. She was a wonderful baby sitter as she baby sat all of her nieces and nephews at one time or another.
Serving as pallbearers are Samuel Morro, Gabriel Morro, Jimmy Galvan, Faustino Torrez Jr, Roy Morales and Robert Fuentes.
