A graveside burial of ashes will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 28th, at Carlsbad Cemetery in Carlsbad NM for Carol Ann Sparks, 61, of Roswell who passed away October 23, 2006 at her home.

Carol was born on June 8, 1945 in Vernon, TX to Edmond Thomas Johnston and Mildred Lucille Johnston. Both parents preceded her in death.

Carol was a hairdresser by profession. She enjoyed dabbling in arts and crafts and working in her flower garden and she loved spending time in the mountains around Ruidoso.

Her survivors include her son, Ricky Britain and his wife Sherrie of Roswell, daughter, Robin Wiggs of Roswell, brother, Dwain Johnston of Farmington, NM and sister, Lozell Anthony and her husband, Tony of Carlsbad, NM, grandchildren, Jessica Strickland and her husband, Jody, Kristi Fraze and her husband, Jared, Kayla Britain, Jacob Wiggs, Misty Straley, George Straley, Jordan Grill, William McIntosh. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory.
