Carol Odell Hervey, age 93, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at Heartfelt Manor surrounded by her family. Carol will be buried alongside her husband and daughter in Tucson, Arizona.
Carol was born June 19, 1921 in Wapello, Iowa to Harold McLean and Grace Odle McLean whom preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her husband James G. Hervey daughter Candace Hervey son Hilary Hervey brothers Neal, Douglas and Harold McLean and sisterinlaw, Joan.
Those left to cherish her memory is her son Carr Hervey and wife Grace of Roswell, NM grandchildren Elizabeth Hervey of Albuquerque, NM and James Hervey of Lubbock, TX sister Andree Morgan and husband Jack of Grand Island, NE daughterinlaw Phyllis Hervey of Surprise, AZ sistersinlaw Lorna and Norma McLean and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol moved from Iowa to Tucson, Arizona, in 1957 where she cared for and raised her three children. She worked hard and was involved in many social activities. After 40 years in Tucson, Carol moved to Roswell NM in 1997 to be closer to son Carr and his family. During her time in Roswell, she was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Carol was a wonderful seamstress. She loved playing cards in her Ladies Bridge Group and also loved to dance. She was and amazing mother, motherinlaw, and a most loving grandmother. She never failed to express her love for her family and will be remembered for her sweet and tender heart. She will be missed by all that knew her and will always be loved by her family.
A special thank you to Ginny, Sheila and the entire Heartfelt Manor family for their wonderful and loving care given to Carol.
Services will be held in Tucson, AZ at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church Cowboy Bell Fund, 200 N. Pennsylvania Roswell, NM 88201.
