Brigitte Hern

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 3, 2015 at the family home for Brigitte Maria Hern, 80, who passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Brigitte was born April 23, 1935 in Brotterode, Germany to Oscar Leddermann and Martha Kestler Ledderman who preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Michael D. Lutman of Yokosuka, Japan, George R. Hern of Omaha, NB and James T. Luna of Roswell, NM; daughters Iris S. Stewart of Lubbock, TX, Deborah Lynn Powell of Roswell, NM, Yolanda I. Luna of Roswell, NM, Sayuri T. Lutman of Yokosuka, Japan and Tina Hern of Papillion NB; sister Inge Jajko of Columbus, GA; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Brigitte or Miss Kitty as she was known to her friends enjoyed playing bingo and poker with her family. She also served the community by running a day care center almost her entire life. Brigitte loved children and animals and was a kind hearted soul who cared for every one she met. Dancing was one of her single biggest joys and she often did so at the VFW and Palmside in Alamogordo, NM where she lived for twenty-five years.
