Billy Goode

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am, Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Billy Warren Goode, 75, who passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Pastor Danny Sons of Midway Assembly of God Church will officiate. Burial will follow at General McBride Veterans Cemetery with Roswell Veteran's Honor Guard conducting military graveside services.

Billy was born October 12, 1939 in Roswell, NM to Warren B. Goode and Maxine Williams Goode who preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years Frances Prouty Goode of Roswell; son Bobby Warren Goode; daughter Patty Goode; brother Dale W. Goode and his wife Betty all of Roswell, NM; grandchildren Staci Sue Goode of Portales, NM, Warren Jae Goode of Silver City, NM and Heather Jackson of Ventura, CA. Also surviving him are many nieces and nephews.

Billy was a lifelong resident of Roswell. He graduated from Roswell High School in 1958. Billy owned and operated Goode's Welding Inc. for the past 45 years. He was the Boy Scout leader of Troop 2 for many years. Billy was a member of American Legion Post 29 in Ft. Sumner. Billy loved going to garage sales, gardening and doing home improvements. He also enjoyed boating, jet skiing and fishing at Lake Sumner.

Serving as pallbearers are Warren Goode, Jerry Goode, Boyd Prouty, Gabriel Trujillo, Michael Berg and Max Cummins. Honorary pallbearers are James Berg and Lonnie Wood.
