Betty Kennedy

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M., Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church in Des Moines, NM for Betty Kennedy, 91, who passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 in Roswell, NM. Burial will follow at the Kennedy Family Plot at the Des Moines Cemetery.

Betty was born January 19, 1922 in Pleasant Plains, IL to Charles J. Mayreis and Cade B. Swan. Her parents preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her son Wayne Purvines, brothers Charles Mayreis Jr., Thomas Rawls and Norman Mayreis and her sisters Rose Dear and Thelma Sprose.

Betty married William G. Kennedy on July 16, 1962 in Des Moines, NM he survives her at the family home in Roswell. Also surviving her are her sons Gary Purvines of Albuquerque, NM, Craig Purvines of Amarillo, TX and Jeff Purvines of Gruver, TX stepsons William Kennedy and Clarence Kennedy both of Granbury, TX.

Serving as pallbearers are Albert Flaming, Johnny Moffett, Jared Purvines, Clint Runyan, William David Kennedy and Clarence D. Kennedy.
