Bethany Becerra

December 19, 1971 — August 20, 2015

A memorial service is scheduled at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 24, 2015 at WayMaker Church 202 South Sunset for Bethany Noel Becerra, 43, who passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 at her home. Pastor Mark Green of WayMaker Church will officiate.

Bethany was born December 19, 1971 to George Mack Jones and Janet Louise Galbraith. Bethany was a Goddard High graduate of 1990, earned her BA from Eastern New Mexico University and Masters degree from Highland University, she was also a youth girls soccer coach, a member of a monthly book club, and Big Brother/Big Sister.

Bethany was passionate about helping people and had an ability to see the best in others. Her warmth and acceptance of others had a way of bringing people together. Beth loved with her whole heart and was fiercely loyal to her loved ones. She took the time to make sure that the people around her knew that they were special and was always there to offer support, love, or help. She developed friendships that were enduring and deep and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her dedication to her family Beth was a tireless and creative champion and servant to the youth of Roswell. In her volunteer work as a "big" and in her career as an In Home Services Clinician helping families to build healthy relationships and dynamics. "Bethany's Bags", a collection of items to help children in the space between being removed from their home and the foster care system, is an example of Beth's outside the box attitude.

Beth grew up as a spirit of two unique regions the Pacific Northwest and the Southwest. As a result of her love of these regions she will find a resting place in both New Mexico and Oregon.

Bethany is survived by her, husband, Tony Becerra; parents, Mack and Janet Jones; daughter, Nyah Becerra; son, Rayce Becerra all of Roswell, NM; brother, Greg Jones of Salt Lake City, UT; sister, Larisa Johnson of Chandler, AZ, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bethany was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nellie Marie Galbraith.
