She passed away, surrounded by family at her home in Dexter, New Mexico, Monday morning, October 6, 2008, following a lengthy illness. She was born on July 4, 1919 to Reverend Reginald Brown Gilmore and Ida Ann Gilmore. She was preceded in death by her brother, Clovis and her parents. She graduated from McMurry College in Abilene, and moved to Hagerman, New Mexico where she taught music for the Hagerman school system. She met Clarence M. Bill Bogle at a soda shop in Hagerman, and they were married on January 9, 1943.

Berneice and Bill settled in Dexter, New Mexico, and he survives her in the home. They have five children, Mary Lynn Bogle, Stuart McKnight Bogle, Donald Hal Bogle, Beverly Ann Bogle Coots and Scott Gilmore Bogle. She has nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Her sons and daughters reside in Chaves County, where they work in the family agricultural business, with the exception of Mary Lynn who is an attorney in Roswell.

Her life was dedicated to her family, her church, music and gardening. She was a devoted wife of 65 years. When she married and moved to Dexter, she formed the Junior Choir of the Dexter Presbyterian Church, and soon became the choir director and organist of the church. She donated her time, talents and resources generously to many community organizations over the entirety of her life.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Dexter Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory. An online registry can be accessed at www.ballardfuneralhome.com
