A Vigil with Rosary is scheduled for 7 pm, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Ballard Chapel for Benny Aragon, 74, who passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at his home. Mass of the Resurrection is scheduled for 9:30 am, Friday, January 17, 2014 at Assumption Catholic Church with Father Josh Duplissey presiding. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 1 7 P.M. at Ballard Funeral Home.
Benny Aragon was born April 6, 1939 in Manzano, NM to Boney and Ramonsita Aragon. He was raised by Roque and Esperfia Romero, whom all preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Joe Romero and Pat Aragon his sisters Peggy Fisher, Margie Carrie, Verna Martinez and Juanita Aragon and nephew Gilbert Romero. Benny married Eva Madril on October 17, 1970 she survives him at the family home.
Benny is also survived his sisters Ester Romero of Roswell, NM, Lydia Eimer and husband Larry of Long Beach, CA and Bertha Laborde and husband Butch of Dayton, TX brothers Frank Aragon, Abe Aragon and wife Natlia of Paris, CA sisterinlaws Eufemia Romero of Roswell, NM, Mary Zamora of Tuscon, AZ and Inez Tafoya of Amarillo, TX brotherinlaws Lou Madril and wife Naomi, Arnold Madril and Clara all of Roswell, NM, Ambrose Madril and wife Josefina of Colorado Springs, Co and James Madril and wife Jennifer of Chanook, MT and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to his sisterinlaw Eufemia Romero for all her help with Benny and all their friends from McDonalds.
Serving as pallbearers are Junior Brazfield, Louie Romero, Felix Romero, Roque Romero, Manuel Medina, Danny Longoria and Ernie Giron. Honorary pallbearers are Ambrose Madril, Lou Madril, Arnold Madril and Tony Brazfield.
