Augustin Querro Sanchez Barranco

A prayer service is scheduled today at 7:00p.m.,Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the Ballard Chapel of Augustin Querro Sanchez Barranco, 86 of Roswell who passed away October 30, 2008 at a hospital in Albuquerque, NM. A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 3, 2008 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Fr. Juan Montoya, O.F.M. of St. Johns Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Roswell Veterans Honor Guard.

Augustin was born on August 3, 1922 in Dawson, New Mexico to Jesus Barranco and Eulalia Sanchez Barranco. His parents have preceded him in death as well as his sisters: Santos Alvarez and Eulalia Vasquez and one grand child Jake Padilla Jr.

Augustin married Lydia Chavarria in Roswell, NM. She preceded him in death in 1983.

Augustin is survived by his companion: Agneda Espinoza; his son: Jesse Barranco; his daughters: Vera Padilla and husband Jake of McIntosh, New Mexico, Alice Smeal and husband Dan of Bloomfield, New Mexico; his grandchildren: Jeffery Padilla, Adolph Padilla, Lisa Selph, Ashli Jashcke and Dean Nesland; his great grandchildren: Lydia, Sonya, Jake III, Jazmin and Jenee Padilla, and Isahiah Selph

Augustin was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church. Querro was a life time Roswell, a very good and loving father, loved to help people, loved hunting and fishing and cooking, Querro never knew a stranger and was liked by everybody who ever knew him. Augustin had a great sense of humor. He loved Jesus and is in the arms of his Savior.

The Pallbearers will be Jake Padilla, Robert Selps, Adolph Padilla, Eddie Espinoza, Ray Romo, Sonya Padilla, Lydia Padilla.
