Audrey Ann Deutz Blair of Roswell, NM, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2008, with her family by her side. She was born on March 23, 1932 in Marshall, MN, the third of thirteen children born to Frank and Augusta Sarazyn Deutz. She grew up on the family farm, and graduated from Marshall High School. After attending Loretto College in Colorado, she married her high school sweetheart, Clarence Blair, on May 7, 1955. They moved to Minneapolis, where she worked for the Social Security Administration office. Audrey and Clarence relocated to New Mexico in 1958, settling in Roswell in 1961. They have eight children, fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and friend, and will be missed dearly by all who loved her. BR Audrey leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Clarence. She is also survived by her daughter, Susyn Blair-Hunt and grandson Joshua Hunt of Albuquerque, NM, son, Dennis and wife Terry Blair, grandchildren Sarah and Jacob of Levelland, TX, son, David Blair and grandson Zachary of Roswell, NM, son, Donald and wife Debbie Blair, granddaughter Brittany, grandson Keaton and Jenna and new great-grandson Kaden, daughter, Barbara and husband Jeff Mittelstadt, grandchildren Michael and Jena of Marcus, IA, daughter, Pauline and husband Len Schnedar, grandchildren Brooke, Brandon and Brenna of San Diego, CA, daughter, Mary Ellen and husband Michael Pothier, grandsons Andrew, Bradley and Mark of Leominster, MA, daughter, Amy and husband Corey Seward and grandson Nathaniel of Phoenix, AZ. BR She has 8 brothers, John Deutz deceased, Ted Deutz, Gary Deutz, Pat Deutz, Jim Deutz deceased, Bill Deutz, Dan Deutz, Paul Deutz all of Marshall, MN, and four sisters, Ramona Smith of San Jose, CA, Deanna Poor of Boynton Beach, FL, Peg Porter deceased of Marshall, MN., and Laura Duthoy of Frederick, MD. BR Audrey was an active member of St. Peters Catholic Church for 47 years, and belonged to the Catholic Daughters and Women's Society. After raising her children, Audrey worked with Clarence in their independent court reporting business. BRHer warm smile, generous heart and welcoming spirit were cherished by all who met her. More than anything, Audrey loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an accomplished cook and seamstress, and enjoyed gardening, traveling, crocheting, reading and movies.BR A Rosary for Audrey will be held at Ballards Funeral Home on Friday, July 11 at 7:00pm. The Funeral will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church on Saturday, July 12 at 10:00am. Audreys grandsons and great-grandson will be the Honorary Pallbearers. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the charity or organization of your choice, in honor of Audrey.
