Arthur Joseph Jimenez

Arthur Joseph Jimenez, 52, passed away from this life to meet our Lord, Jesus Christ on Monday, October 23, 2006. He died at his mothers home with many of his family at his side. He was born October 29, 1953 in Roswell, New Mexico to Pablin Jimenez who preceded him in death and Angelina Jimenez who survives him. Arthur attended St. Johns Catholic School and Roswell High School. In his adult life, he was a self-employed mechanic and car detailer. He is survived by the lights of his life; his daughters, Jeanette and Vanessa Jimenez, Lupe Gonzalez, the mother of his children, his brothers, Jimmy Jimenez and his wife, Mary Ann and Bartolo Jimenez, his sisters, Pauline Ponce and her husband, Joe, Gloria Alvarado and her husband, Peter and Little Sister Gilda Zamora and her husband, Joe. He is also survived by his Aunt Carmen Garcia and her husband, Uncle Rudy, Aunt Eva Jimenez, Aunt Annie Nunez and her husband Tomas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by grandparents Bartolo and Luz Jimenez, Pablo and Candelaria Calderon, Abeslin and Anastacia Olguin, Uncles Frank and Raymond Jimenez and Aunt Prestina Jimenez.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Alvarado, Paul Alvarado, Peter Alvarado, Jimmy Paul Jimenez, Ben Jimenez, Michael Ponce, John Ponce, and Adolfo Zavala. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeanette Jimenez, Vanessa Jimenez, Mary Angel Jimenez, Valerie Jimenez, Joseph Ponce, David Briggs, Ernest Jimenez, Chris Garcia, Ray Jimenez, and Richard Villescas.

A rosary service will be held Wednesday, October 25th, 7:00 p.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be Thursday, October 26th, 10:00 a.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church with interment at South Park Cemetery. The family will gather at the Ave Maria Center for the funeral reception after the interment at South Park.
