Arbie Russell Knight

A graveside service will be held 11:00a.m., Monday, April 6, 2009 at South Park Cemetery for Arbie Russell Knight, 86, who passed away April 2, 2009 at a local care center. Phillip Grassie will officiate.

Arbie was born April 23, 1922 in Scranton, Arkansas to Tom and Ada Knight. He married Della Stricklin on January 21, 1939. In 1940 they relocated to Dexter, NM to raise their family. He was employed by Bogle Farms for 50 years as a Cotton Gin and Feed Mill Foreman.

He is survived by his sons Tim Knight and wife Shirley of Searcy, Arkansas and Hurb Knight of Dexter, NM, a daughter Barbara Frazier and her husband Marvis of Dexter, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Ocie Spicer of Paris, Arkansas, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Della, his parents and 10 siblings.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Baptist Childrens Home, P.O. Box 629, Portales, NM 88130
