Antonia Tonnie Telgenhof Wilmink
Tonnie Wilmink, 85, of Roswell, New Mexico passed away December 24, 2008, at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.
Tonnie was born September 27, 1923 in Borne, the Netherlands to Johannes H. Telgenhof and Antonia J. Basseman. Her parents preceded her in death, as well as, one daughter Maria Antonia Wilmink.
Tonnie married Johannes W. Wilmink on October 21, 1943 in Borne, the Netherlands. He also preceded her in death September 21, 1994.
Tonnie relocated to the United States in 1995 after the death of her husband. She wanted to live in Roswell, New Mexico near her son and daughter-in-law. She became a loved member of the family. She was a talented crochet and knitting artist. Her hobbies were reading, crocheting, knitting and gardening. We all knew her to have a heart of gold. She was active for a few years with her churchs decorating committee at St. Johns Catholic Church. She made many friends during those times. She is now at rest although, she will be missed by all.
Tonnie is survived by her only son John W. Wilmink and wife Katy of Roswell, and one niece Jackie Hopkins and husband Charlie of Dexter. She is also survived by her extended family members, Bill and Ann Sauskis, Mary Ann Kay, of Roswell, and Aina and Gary Duttle of Santa Fe, NM., numerous nieces, nephews and friends. All of whom loved her very much.
